Re: first to respond to this wins!!!
So:
You are walking down a road and you come across a fork in the road and you don't know which path to choose. Nakamura and Licker are standing at the junction and both know the correct path. One of them always lies, and the other always tells the truth, but you do not know who is the liar and who is the one who tells the truth. You can only ask each of them one question,which must be the same question for both. What do you ask that would allow you to get the information necessary to choose the correct path?

I think i know this one, sounds really familiar. Here i go - You ask each person what the other person would have said if you had asked him which path was the right one . Assuming that both of them know that one of them is a liar and another is a truth teller , the liar would point to the wrong path because he would be lying and the truth teller would point to the wrong path as well which is the truth because that's what the liar would say . So you take the path that no one points to .
Btw another obvious way would be to get the liar ( we all know its lickerlicker ) drunk . . He would keep saying that HE WONT BLACKOUT but he soon would and would give away his secret that he was the liar before he blacked out .

"Which is the wrong path?"
The truth-teller(Licker) will point to one path & say "That isn't the wrong one." The liar(Nakamura) will say "No, that is the wrong one."
Both will obviously point out the same path..
But as one will lie & the other will tell the truth & you don't know which is the truth, you will (wrongly) most likely choose the other path.

Re: first to respond to this wins!!!
YOU'RE ALL WRONG.
You call me up and I tell you that LICKER is the liar and should never be listened to
Next question:
Lafonda is as old as Shaniqua will be when Lafonda is twice the age that Shaniqua was when the age of Lafonda was half the sum of each of their ages now.
What are their ages in the present?

L = 4
and
S = 3
Or any multiple of those (e.g. 24 and 18).

Re: first to respond to this wins!!!
yes, Doap is right!
imo, the best way to tackle this question is to realize Lafonda is older than Shaniqua from the following: "Lafonda is as old as Shaniqua will be"
This means that there will always be a common difference between their ages, [x]
The next thing you should do is take the information from the question and assign variables to describe it (this is really the only hard part because of how retardedly the riddle is phrased)
I made a table of values, calling Lafonda's age [a], Shaniqua's age [b], and Shaniqua's age in the past [c]
PRESENT.........PAST..........FUTURE
Lafonda: [a].............2[c]..........([a]+[b]) / 2
Shaniqua: [b]...............[a].............[c]
Because of the fact that the difference [x] between their ages cannot change, [x] should equal [a] - [b] which should equal [2c] - [a] which should equal (([a] + [b]) / 2) - [c]
From here the problem becomes simple algebra. Just make a system of equations so that you can eliminate one of the three variables (we can exclude [x] because we can create an equation involving only 3 variables without using [x] here). This will hopefully leave you with a simple ratio between [a] and [b], their present ages.
What I did:
[a] - [b] = 2[c] - [a]
Thus, we solve for one variable in terms of the other:
[c] = [a] - [b]/2
Now, substitute this value in for [c] in the third equation we have not made use of yet
So:
[a] - [b] = (([a] + [b]) / 2) - [c] BECOMES [a] - [b] = (([a] + [b]) / 2) - ([a] - [b]/2)
Simplifying this equation, we find:
4[a] = 3[b]
Therefore the ratio of their ages will always be 4:3

okay i have one
In three more years, John's grandfather will be six times as old as John was last year. When John's present age is added to his grandfather's present age, the total is 68. How old is each one now?

DoD_Fox wrote:oKAY. I have three apples and I give two of them to claudia. What color are the apples?
The apples can either be green , yellow or red which are the standard colours for apples .
There is also the possibility that the apples are peeled and they have the light yellow colour , and there also comes the possibility that the apples have become brown due to exposure.
If the apple has been made invisible by Scientific experimentation , then the apple cannot be seen at all and hence has no visible colour .
If the apple is enhanced by biotechnology and made to have a different colour , then the apple can have roughly 10 million different colours which are visible to the naked eye though most cannot be easily distinguishable .
.
Another possibility arises that the apple is a fake one , where it can again have any of the ten million colours that can be seen by the naked eye .
If the apple is a metaphor to mean that Claudia is the apple of your eye, then the apple is imaginary and hence does not posess a colour except in thought .
